The first comics book of “The Famous Five” series illustrated by Eileen Soper. It was published in the year 1942. The book is featuring siblings Julian and Dick, and Anne and tom boy George and her beloved dog, Timmy. The story of from an unusual summer holiday trip to Polseath, where the three (Julian, Dick and Anne) was invited to spend their holidays at their unknown cousin Georgina’s house with her mother (Fanny) and father (Quentin). 

When they met the adventure begins, where the Famous Five are on the trail - looking for clues - but they're not alone! Someone else has got the same idea. The second book of the series published in the year 1943 by the British author, Enid Blyton. This time all the five, Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy, go to enjoy Christmas Holidays to Kirrin Cottage. They got a tutor during the holidays in order to catch up with the work they missed in these holidays. And one day they went to visit Kirrin Farmhouse and the owner allows them to see the farmhouse as well as showed them some of the old secret cubby-holes in the farmhouse. Third in the line, the book was published in the year 1944 by the British author, Enid Blyton. Julian, Dick and Anne went to Cornwall to spend their holidays with George and they planned to explore the Kirrin Island. But Aunt Fanny falls ill and they left the island with uncle Quentin to treat aunt in a far-off hospital.  During these days, they are cared for by a temporary cook, Mrs Stick, but due to some reasons they start hating each other and later when Mrs. Stick tries to kill George’s dog Timmy then she decided to not take it more and made a secret plan to run away to Kirrin Island. Julian came to know about her secret plan and decides to allow other children as well to go with her. The adventurous tour begins from here.



The fourth book in the series by British author, Enid Blyton, published in the year 1945. The Five are happily staying at Kirrin Cottage for the holidays until the big ash tree in the garden falls down and destroys the top floor, where the bedrooms are located. Uncle Quentin's scientist friend, Mr Lenoir, was planning to come for a visit, but the damage prevents it, so he invites the five to his house instead. Mr Lenoir has a stepson, Sooty, who is a friend of Julian and Dick. George finds out that she can't take her dog, Timmy, but decides to smuggle him in. The children go to Sooty Lenoir's house, Smuggler's Top, while Kirrin Cottage is being repaired. 

Smuggler's Top is situated on a hill named Castaway Hill and many marshes are found around it also having the terrible mists as an important feature. The children learn that there is a network of secret passages inside the hill after sooty shows them one. And that there are secret doors in the house which open into these passages. Sooty tells them that even if the house was inhabited by smugglers many years ago, there is one still left in the hill at another wing of the house and his name is Mr Barling. One night, the boys wake up and find someone flashing lights from one of the towers at Smuggler's Top. The children are puzzled by this mysterious signal.




The fifth book of the series by the British author Enid Blyton was published in the year 1946. In this episode, story begins to experience another adventure for the intrepid gang. These five caught up with a circus, where some of the circus folks have more sinister plans than just clowning around. It is A Hot Sunny Day and the Kirrin Children Are in Julian, Dick, And Anne's Back yard. Timothy "Timmy" The Dog, Sees A Circus Go By. This Gives George (Julian, Dick & Anne's Cousin) an idea. She says that they should go on a camping holiday. The others are really excited about the idea that George has said




It is the sixth in the Famous Five series by British author, Enid Blyton, was first published in 1947. Julian, Dick and Anne come to George's house for their holidays. They plan to explore Kirrin island a bit more. But when Uncle Quentin announces that he is going to use the island alone for a few days, the Five are surprised. They request their uncle to signal 12 times twice day, one at the morning and the other at the evening. What was in the mind of Uncle Quentin? Why he won’t allow anyone to visit the island? The seventh book of the series by Enid Blyton was published in 1984. The story evolves around mysterious "spook trains" that the Five hear about on a lonely moor. The book has been adapted to two television series. Julian, Dick, George, Anne and Timmy the dog (the Famous Five) are planning to go camping in a moor with the absent-minded and insect-loving Mr Luffy, a teacher at Julian and Dick's school. When they arrive at camp they find that their camping site is close to a farm, and that several old train tracks run under the moors, some of them are unused. They soon make friends with a boy named Jock, who lives at the farm with his mother and stepfather, the farm owners. While exploring the moor, the Five find a railway yard and a tunnel that are apparently abandoned. A watchman called Wooden Leg Sam tells them that "Spook trains" travel along those tracks before chasing them away. What next ... will they solve the mystery?

Five Get Into Trouble



The eighth book of the series by British author by Enid Blyton was published in the year 1949. In this novel, Dick gets kidnapped, mistaken for another boy whose name is Richard. The Famous Five track him down to a lonely, out-of-the-way house-but they are seized and imprisoned too. Do you want to know how will the intrepid Five get themselves out of this mess? The ninth book of the series “The Famous Five” by author Enid Blyton was first published in 1950. Aunt Fanny and Uncle Quentin head off for a holiday in Spain, but not before Uncle Quentin loses his temper with the newspapers for saying exactly what he told them NOT to say! Now everyone reading the paper will know that his valuable scientific work and plans are locked up at Kirrin Cottage, practically inviting would-be burglars to come along and steal them. Disgruntled, he is forcibly led from the house by Aunt Fanny and bundled into a taxi and the house is left in the care of the Five and Joana, the cook. What is the mystery? What is going to happen next? Read to experience the adventure.




The tenth book “Five on a Hike Together” by Enid Blyton was first published in 1951. In the book, two of Julian and Dick's school get a scholarship while Anne and George have a mid-term break. When Dick is woken by a light flashing through his window, he is puzzled. Is someone trying to send him a coded message? And when the Famous Five hear of an escaped convict in the area, they are on red alert. 

The police won't help, so the Five have no choice. Yet again, they'll be solving this mystery by themselves . . .
