The fourth book in the series by British author, Enid Blyton, published in the year 1945. The Five are happily staying at Kirrin Cottage for the holidays until the big ash tree in the garden falls down and destroys the top floor, where the bedrooms are located. Uncle Quentin's scientist friend, Mr Lenoir, was planning to come for a visit, but the damage prevents it, so he invites the five to his house instead. Mr Lenoir has a stepson, Sooty, who is a friend of Julian and Dick. George finds out that she can't take her dog, Timmy, but decides to smuggle him in. The children go to Sooty Lenoir's house, Smuggler's Top, while Kirrin Cottage is being repaired. 

Smuggler's Top is situated on a hill named Castaway Hill and many marshes are found around it also having the terrible mists as an important feature. The children learn that there is a network of secret passages inside the hill after sooty shows them one. And that there are secret doors in the house which open into these passages. Sooty tells them that even if the house was inhabited by smugglers many years ago, there is one still left in the hill at another wing of the house and his name is Mr Barling. One night, the boys wake up and find someone flashing lights from one of the towers at Smuggler's Top. The children are puzzled by this mysterious signal.




The fifth book of the series by the British author Enid Blyton was published in the year 1946. In this episode, story begins to experience another adventure for the intrepid gang. These five caught up with a circus, where some of the circus folks have more sinister plans than just clowning around. It is A Hot Sunny Day and the Kirrin Children Are in Julian, Dick, And Anne's Back yard. Timothy "Timmy" The Dog, Sees A Circus Go By. This Gives George (Julian, Dick & Anne's Cousin) an idea. She says that they should go on a camping holiday. The others are really excited about the idea that George has said




It is the sixth in the Famous Five series by British author, Enid Blyton, was first published in 1947. Julian, Dick and Anne come to George's house for their holidays. They plan to explore Kirrin island a bit more. But when Uncle Quentin announces that he is going to use the island alone for a few days, the Five are surprised. They request their uncle to signal 12 times twice day, one at the morning and the other at the evening. What was in the mind of Uncle Quentin? Why he won’t allow anyone to visit the island? The seventh book of the series by Enid Blyton was published in 1984. The story evolves around mysterious "spook trains" that the Five hear about on a lonely moor.
